Justo antes de poner "puntos suspensivos" a la conferencia PUBLICAR ARQUITECTURA EN ESPAÑA. LAS REVISTAS DE ARQUITECTURA CONTEMPORÁNEA (Granada, 20 de noviembre de 2013), el profesor Víctor Pérez Escolano mostró un ejemplar del número 3 de la revista Arquitectura para hablar de este artículo de Francisco J. Sáenz Oiza. Arrancó sus comentarios ilustrando como el artículo sirve de editorial a una nueva etapa de esta histórica revista, aún bien con la continuidad de la figura del arquitecto Carlos de Miguel como director, justo en su momento transitorio de 1959. En ese momento la revista Arquitectura volvía a su origen como revista colegial, primero del CSCAE y de ahí a su titularidad definitiva del Colegio de Arquitectos de Madrid, tras el paréntesis editorial originado por la guerra civil y el periodo de publicación como Revista Nacional de Arquitectura —editada por la Dirección General de Arquitectura de la dictadura franquista.

Las perspectivas o posibilidades de una revista española de arquitectura, o más concretamente de la revista ARQUITECTURA, pudieran ordenarse de esta manera:Tras esta lectura, Víctor Pérez Escolano propuso que se fotocopiara el artículo completo y se quedara como material de trabajo del curso en el cual se impartía la conferencia —se celebró en el marco del curso COMUNICAR LA ARQUITECTURA ENTRE EL PAPEL Y LA ERA DIGITAL dirigido por el arquitecto Angel Gijón y el profesor Juan Calatrava en el marco del Centro Mediterráneo de la Universidad de Granada. Así se hizo. Con este simple hecho, unas fotocopias grapadas, el profesor Víctor Pérez Escolano, una vez más, realizó un acto que bien conoce: comunicar arquitectura y compartir conocimiento. Una lección del profesor a tener en cuenta en toda publicación y que es independiente del formato, sea papel, digital o ambas a la vez.
1. Lo que debe o no debe ser la revista ARQUITECTURA.
2. Revista profesional o tribuna de ensayos: es decir , realidad o abstracción.
3. El clásico tema de siempre: la tradición.
4. El valor permanente o el valor ocasional de la arquitectura.

6. Caminos de la revista ARQUITECTURA.
Nosotros, que asistíamos sin estar inscritos en el curso, tuvimos la suerte de quedarnos con una de estas fotocopias, qué amablemente nos cedió Juan Calatrava mientras charlábamos con Víctor Pérez Escolano. Just before wrapping up his conference PUBLICAR ARQUITECTURA EN ESPAÑA. LAS REVISTAS DE ARQUITECTURA CONTEMPORÁNEA (Granada, November 20, 2013) in an ellipsis, professor Victór Perez Esconalo displayed a copy of the third issue of the magazine Arquitectura in order to talk about this article by Francisco J. Sáenz Oiza. His first comments illustrated the fact that the article was used as the editorial of the beginning of a new period for this historic publication, even though Carlos de Miguel remained as its editor in chief, in the crucial transitory year of 1959. It was then that the magazine returned to its origins as a collegiate publication —belonging to begin with to the CSCAE (Council of the Spanish Architect's Associations) to later come under the final ownership of the Madrid Association of Architects— after the interim period caused by the civil war followed by its conversion into the National Architecture Review edited by the francoist regime.
Porfessor Escolano's ellispsis led to his reading of the initial sentences of the article, which trasncribes as the following:
The prospects or possibilities of a Spanish architecture magazine, or, to be more precise, of the magazine ARQUITECTURA, can be organized as follows:
1. What the magazine ARQUITECTURA must or must not be.
2. Professional review or collection of essays, that is: reality or abstraction.
3. The ongoing theme: tradition
4. Architecture's permanent or temporary value
5. Escaping the drawing board.
6. The paths of the magazine ARQUITECTURA.
After his reading, professor Escolano suggested photocopying the complete article so that it could be used as working material during the workshop in which the conference took place: COMUNICAR LA ARQUITECTURA ENTRE EL PAPEL Y LA ERA DIGITAL directed by Angel Gijón (architect) and the professor Juan Calatrava in the Centro Mediterráneo de la Universidad de Granada . And so it happened. With the simple fact of sharing sharing some stapled photocopies, professor Escolano once again carried out an act he knows well: the communication of architecture and the sharing of knowledge. A lesson by the professor to learn from when editing a publication, regardless of its format: paper, digital or both at the same time.
We went to the conference without being part of the workshop and were lucky enough to end up with one of the set of photocopies. It was given to us by Juan Calatrava while we chatted with Victor Perez Escolano after his talk. We would like to thank both of them. We have taken the liberty of scanning and uploading it, in order to share it also.
