Hemos creado el blog http://translateandconvince.wordpress.com/ para desarrollar este nuevo servicio, así se presenta:

"En los últimos años y paralelamente al desarrollo de mi carrera profesional como arquitecto he trabajado en traducciones, ediciones y consultas de textos español-inglés, siempre en el campo de la arquitectura. El hecho de ser bilingüe y mi conocimiento de vocabulario específico ha hecho que muchas personas hayan confiando en mí a  la hora de requerir este tipo de servicio. En mi experiencia acumulo desde la traducción y edición de textos completos hasta la resolución de breves consultas lingüísticas, aspectos del trabajo que son todas igual de interesantes y cada una de ellos, un reto.
Hoy he considerado que este trabajo —hasta ahora realizado a través de encargos boca a boca— debe ocupar un papel más visible y relevante en mi vida laboral, dada la cada vez mayor demanda de internacionalización de servicios profesionales, el creciente nivel de intercambio de conocimiento que exige el mundo académico y científico, y la expansión exponencial de la difusión de la arquitectura en múltiples formatos. En este sentido, la presentación del trabajo del arquitecto —desde la memoria de un proyecto, a un artículo, a la explicación de una idea para un concurso, pasando por su curriculum o su portfolio— en un inglés no sólo correcto, sino además preciso, fluido, comprensible y convincente, es imprescindible en estos tiempos.
conVince es el primer paso que doy para ofrecer estos servicios al público en general y posicionarme en este campo de actividad.

We have created a new blog: http://translateandconvince.wordpress.com/ in order to offer this new service. This is its presentation: 

Over the last few years, while developing a career as am architect, I have also worked on Spanish to English translations of texts specialized in architecture. I have also edited existing texts and offered advice on many occasions. My bilingualism and my knowledge of specific vocabulary have encouraged many people to put their trust in me when they have required this kind of service. My experience in this field ranges from translating and editing entire texts to solving brief and specific questions. All of these experiences have been equally interesting as well as challenging.
Now I have considered that this field of work—which I have been carrying out through word of mouth— has to take on a more active and visible role in my professional activity, given the increasing demand to internationalize professional services, the ever-growing levels of knowledge exchange that the academic and scientific world require, and the exponential expansion of architecture in multiple formats. In this sense, the way architects present their work—ranging from a project brief to an article and from the description of an idea for a competition to a curriculum or to a portfolio— in a not merely correct, but also a precise, fluid, comprehensible and convincing English, is crucial in the times we live in.
conVince is the first step I take to offer these services to the general public and to position myself in this field of activity.
